"Any idea what would be causing this carb to flood so much that fuel is getting in crank case/air intake hoes?"

Assuming you are turning off the fuel when you park it - In a gravity feed system, the combination of a leaky gas tank cut off and float valve can leak enough fuel to hydro lock the engine.

The float valve seat should have a gasket between jet and carb body and it must be well tightened.

How high did you set the float level? With the float and gasket installed and the bowl upside down (in your hand) the distance between the float and the gasket should be 1/4".

Try seating the needle valve to ensure it is cutting off the fuel when closed.

Check the "How To" section on red banner above. Scroll down to "Fuel System" and select "Carburetor - Service Instructions for TSX Carburetor"
