Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to figure things out by reading sites like you mentioned. The serial # searh is a little confuseing.

The old workhorse needs parts like the starter and carb before I can see how and if it runs. I can turn the crank.

Myself and family like this tractor because of the shape, looks, lines and size. Just a great looking tractor we think.

I was told by owner the tractor needed a rebuild because the smoke was really bad. I'm going to try and post a picture if I can ( not much with computers but I'll try )
Just don't want to order the wrong parts.

Didn't pay much at all for the ole girl, so willing to spend to get her going.. Just like the looks of these old tractors and have wanted one for years.

I was a ford auto tech for 30 plus years so fords all the way and ready for the challenge

Again thanks for the post/reply and I hope I can get the old girl running and shinning again ....
