Answer first; NO, unpainted. Next, by your question we can all assume you have a 9N or 2N model with a 6-volt generator.You had a dash fire, explain why? I'd be determining the root cause of that first and correcting it. Wiring all caddywhampus? A 12-volt 'conversion' gone FUBAR? Quality parts matter. Buy from a reputable supplier -SEE LINK below. Go to our HOW-TO's forum an download a copy of WIRING PICTOGRAMS by JMOR. These show every CORRECT way to wire these old N's whether 6-volt or 12-volt. Determine which system you have and see what is wrong with yours. I'd leave the lights out of the equation until you figure out what the problem is. Got the I&T F-04 manual and the 39-53 MPC? They are essential in troubleshooting what with diagrams parts listings.
