9N or 2N ?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find this particular condition.
On the engine block it says: 9N247211. But the 11's look like little T's.
Some of the features show that it's a 2N. The left side Trumped drive housing says:
2N 4015 A2 and the link arms are a solid and not a cast.
Did someone replace the engine with a 9N? And if so why go with an older engine rather than a newer one? I guess I'm asking for miracles with a machine that has probably exchanged hands many times and is older than anything I own. I want to get this right because I plan on a full restoration in all gray one day. That is if all gray applied to this year. I wish I could post up pictures but this photobucket thing isn't working.
