I like your statement, "Fairly new high dollar battery", 'cause guess what? There's no more "low dollar" batteries available nowadays, at least none that I've been able to find. The good old $69 batteries that Walmart used to sell are now $99 and up.

I bought two new 12 v. batteries just a week ago for my '52 M38 jeep from O'Reilly's and the total came to $265. The prices for 'em have gone plumb out of sight!
