An engine without oil pressure is vulnerable to damage if you run it. I'd start diagnostics with that possibilty in mind. Disconnect the line at the junction on the back of the engine and connect a mechanics oil pressure gauge. That will tell you what is happening inside the engine. If you get oil pressure on the test gauge the problem is in the line and/or dash gauge. No oil pressure on the test gauge tells you the engine has a problem and you should immediately cease running it until that problem has been corrected.
