HiYa Jason-
Welcome to the wonderful world of FORD N-SERIES TRACTORS! You came to the right place - “Best Internet source of information and help for old Ford Tractors”. Where you buy new and used part matters a lot, and you have been given many popular suggestions -it matters where you buy. As a newbie, many of us strongly suggest you invest first in the essential manuals needed to be an N-Owner. Originals are always around the Internet auction sites and ADS forums, and new reproductions are also available if you want a hard copy. We offer some of these here in our MANUALS forum for FREE download as well. The I&T F-04 Manual is very good as it covers all the major systems on the 9N, 2N, and 8N, models; the 8N Operator's Manual, the '39-'53 MPC (Master Parts Catalog), the Service Manual, and a new DC parts catalog are useful as well. Most of the parts suppliers listed will stock copies of these. Read them like your Bible. Some of us also suggest going to John Smith's site and read more under the Tractor ID/History section LINK AT BOTTOM:
