Remove mounting bolts to pull dash out and get to wiring on the back. I had to evict mice and clean out a nest built behind the dash. Mice chewing on wires caused most of the problems with my dash. You may have to shove some loose harness into the area to get enough slack to pull the dash out.

"temp gauge never moved" is most likely a wiring problem. Check for no voltage to the gauge, broken wire to sending unit, or wire not attached to sending unit.

"gas is always full" probably means you have voltage to the dash and a shorted wire going to the sending unit, or a shorted sending unit. The fuel sending unit is on top of the tank and accessible once the dash is out.
