Okay so you have a later 8N, that helps. Hex head bolts were used on 9N, 2N,and early 8N models. Carriage bolts supplanted the hex heads on later 8Ns. The axle fender bosses would have a square cast pilot hole for the carriage bolt shoulder and the fenders too will have a square hole -does yours? Invest in a nut splitter and just crack the old nut off as you will need new nuts and longer bolts anyway for the stabilizer bar brackets. The originals were 5/8-18 thread, both hex and carriage, but new carriage bolts only come in coarse threads. Nuts are easy to get, original fine thread carriage bolts are no longer made. With stabilizer bars, you will need longer bolts anyway.
