I reluctantly agree. 'Reluctantly' because of the effort. To be clear, enough meat could be left on the stripped sector that it seems to operate normally without any load on it, but once the tractor is on the ground and moving, the stress is enough and the sector is stripped enough that it cannot prevent the front end from spraddling...is that what we're saying? Even without any noise associated with the problem coming from the sector area?
Also, this machine is ancient, I think 2N, so there are no screw adjusters that I know of and not really much of what I would call a steering box, just the steering column bottom sandwiched between the 2 sectors (as I recall from the first time I replaced the whole assembly).
