HHHMMM, a lot of work, should have checked here first. Why would the lever get hard to operate? Then have to use a puller to get it off...hope we're talking the same thing here...there are 4 bolts that secure the hydraulic pump to the top cover. You don't remove them until you have the cover off. There is no lube required so why are you wasting time and money? How did you manage to work on it without any manuals or prior knowledge of the system??? Best to get an I&T F-04 manual; an MPC; and Operator's Manual and read before it's too late.
