There are far too many brands out there nowadays to make a good recommendation for a specific name, however PJ trailers are top rated in my opinion; (but also probably one of the most expensive). Having pulled tandem tractor trailers since the mid 60's when I started a tractor business on the side, it didn't take me but two 16 footers to figure out that I should have bought 18 footers in the first place because that extra 2 feet came in more handy over time than a button on a shirt, and the cost of the additional length was very little, not to mention that I never regretted owning the longer models over the following 40 some odd years.

I feel fairly sure that most of todays name brand equipment trailers are well engineered regarding axle placement in relation to load spread, coupled of course with the fact that most owners know well where to place their loads on trailer decks for best balance, tongue weight and stopping, so I wouldn't be all too concerned with that issue. Off brand and backyard built trailers could be altogether different in that regard.
