That is the problem with the bargain house batteries -two years is about the average lifespan. Some will argue, they always do, but I found that spending an extra $20 or so on a good brand like Interstate or DEKA is well worth the money. I get at least 5 years life out them, the 6 volts anyway. As mentioned too, invest in a BATTERY TENDER to keep it at full charge when not around. That alone will help prolong the life as continuous drainage and recharging takes its toll. If tractor isn't going to run in 30 days or more, disconnect the ground cable and keep it on the tender unit. You should run tractor every 30 days or less to keep the fluids lubing and condensation limited. Got to get it good and hot, best to work it some too.
