Currently I have a 2N with over and an 8N combo. In the past I had another 8N combo. Actually I never really have found a practical purpose for any of them except speeding down the road. I did know a man with a reversing, he owned a gravel business. Back in the 50'S the 8N was if not the best a darn good loader tractor and the reverser made his work a lot easier. The unders were very popular with asparagus growers. They pulled wide platforms behind them at as slow an idle s possible. The platforms were 6-8 rows wide made for a person to lay down on them one to a row. They harvested the stalks as the outfit moved forward at a snails pace or even sometimes weeded. The best towers were those that had Funk 6 cyl conversions as they lugged great at low idle.
