Harry furguson imported the "TE" tractor England model until he made arrangements to have the "TO" Tractor overseas model made in North America.
The main difference is that the "TE" model uses Lucas ignition and imperial hardware.
The "TO" model use Delco ignition and standard hardware.
Giving that the tractor you mention is a 1948 I would expect it to be a "TE" model.
Either tractor is a good machine. But, the "TO" is much better on parts availability and pricing.
