Roger,You can get it out by removing the barrel of the starter just leaving the armature to wiggle it out of the hole,like BlasterStumps suggested.If the hole is not egged out yet around 2-3 O'clock now is the time to do that and also clean up the flat mounting flange on the housing shiny and starter flange plate (both sides and end of the barrel) to for a good ground.(it make a big difference in the starter performance.
