Here are my notes from installing pump in 51 8N a couple years ago

To reinstall. Donít forget the base gasket!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put small block of 1 by wood to get control lever parallel to rear edge.
Put trouble light by right side hole. Work on left side

Use floor jack to raise pump. When it is up part way in case I tied 2 small ropes around transmission case to protect pump if it slipped off of jack.

Carefully raise pump and drop rear end so hole in front of pump body will slip over PTO support. It is a loose fit but must maneuver back then slide forward. Raise pump into position and install bolts.

Run pump bolts finger tight. Install PTO shaft and engage PTO. Crank engine over several times to turn PTO shaft and let it align with the pump, then torque pump and PTO bolts
