My electrolysis tank still has the original Arm N Hammer washing soda solution that I started with many years ago. I've just added water to replace what evaporated, and replaced the sacrificial steel when it started to crumble. No need for anything other than the washing soda. If a part gets dropped, no worries reaching in there with my arm to get it.
