WHICH TYPE SICKLE BAR MOWER?

I need to cut high weeds along a ditch bank. I've been looking at older two wheel "Simplicity" style sickle bar mowers that have the large wheels and tractor tread tires and several of those also come with cultivators. Also looked at pull-behind sickle bar mowers and regular three point hitch sickles...What is the general opinion on which one would be best for cutting back weeds from about 900-1000 ft. of ditch bank?
