I am thinking of buying a hay rake,we have 4 acres of lawn and the grass is so thick it needs raked every time we mow or it kills out grass under the clumps where it lays and looks like crap. We've been raking it with an old Italian made (brand unknown) pto driven 2 belt with tines on the belt type, but it's worn out and I can't find parts for it. Every time we use it I have to fabricate something to get one more use out of it.I'm thinking of maybe a used New Holland 55 or something similar, ground driven that I could even pull with our zero turn (it's a 72" 29 horse John Deere) so I think that just might work.I'm in no hurry, I'm having open heart surgery on aug,26th so I'll be down for a while,I'm looking in the $1000 price range, and within 500 miles of Bridgeton New Jersey, soI can pick it up on my trailer. So if any body has a line on something like that let me know.God Bless,Beth and Allen
