  • last 1939 serial number
  • I have been looking at 9N serial numbers. Most lists that I have read report 10275 as the last 1939. BUT, my ooooooold FO4 manual reports 10247 as the last 1939. Which is correct? Anyone know? I am looking at a 9N that falls between those 2 numbers and I'm curious if it is a 39 or a 40
Thanks in advance for your input

  • The Ford/Fordson Collector's Association website lists 10275 as the last '39.

This Technical Service Bulletin sent to dealers from Ford Tractor in 1955 confirms that:

  • Just to muddy those waters a tad
  • This is a letter from Harold Brock to Dusty Barkley with production numbers for the first model year. I don't know whether this info came from records he had or his recollection, but I would take about anything Harold said about Ford tractors to the bank. I don't know this, but his count may include early models given to executives or others and not sold to customers and may explain the difference:
